Last summer I discovered a particularly lush sea meadow of lavender. It was rich with the hummusy scent of marsh and alive with the sound of bees as they cruised among thousands of tiny lavender flowers.

Here was the mystery of dry land and flower, with the rising tide trickling in around the base of branches, that within the hour minnows would be swimming within this forest of flowers. I climbed the dune behind, sat and watched the bees still hard at work in the delicate blossoms and soft purple haze. Soon the bees were gone and the lavender was beneath the sea and all that was left was the reflection, a silver mirror of sky.

That August morning by the sea is here… the lavender, the bees, and the mirror of the sky. The lavender is the light blue-gray-violet chalcedony, a soothing translucent color that invites you in as no other gemstone will. The accent diamonds and polished 14K white gold are light on water and the mirror to the sky. A tiny bee can be found engraved inside each ring.
